I remember you could upload the movies you made to the official site, my film got quite a few views after I uploaded a poster for it. This had a feature where you could record your voice and the digital actors would say them, even sync their lips. I remember my little brother and his friend helping me record extra voices.
You could name your studio, names I used were Miller Mountain, Comedy Tonight, Fanfare Films and Big Budget Productions.
I actually have mixed feelings about this game. It tries to be a management game and creative tool but it does one better then the other.
It's good as a management game, challenging but fun with lots of factors to manage. Like set maintenance, shifting public tastes, award shows and your stars have multiple factors that contribute to their performance and star-power. Actually most of my memories about this game are me running a struggling studio.
But as a creative tool it's frustrating. since you can only use the pre-programmed sets, costumes and actor-movements, if they don't have what you need you can't make that artistic vision. For example, I've always wanted to make one of those silent films where a damsel is tied to the railroad tracks. But there is NOTHING in the game's inventory to make anything even resembling that. Which is ironic seeing as the game starts in the era of silent film. It was only when the expansion pack came out that you even had the freedom to move the camera around.
For management it was worth the money but for creativity, you'd be better off spending that money on a camera and doing a Be Kind Rewind.
Also, I hope you include the expansion.
