The video game adaption of the acclaimed film of the same name. The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King is a follow up the well received adaption of the first two films in the trilogy. The game expands on what The Two Towers accomplished, with the action and adventure sequel introducing three separate story lines from the movie: one following Aragorn, Legolas, and Gimli, as The Two Towers did, another following Gandalf, and a third following Frodo and Sam, with Merry, Pippin, and Faramir serving as unlockable characters. This game played a large roll in the love I have for fantasy RPG games and I spend many hours playing this game with with my brother and my friend. I remember playing this game and grinding for hours to max out the levels of all the characters and just slaying waves and waves of orcs. To this day when I rewatch the LOTR movies it makes me really want to replay this game and I really home it can be preserved on a reliable platform like GOG.ClearHeats

This game played a large roll in the love I have for fantasy RPG games and I spend many hours playing this game with with my brother and my friend. I remember playing this game and grinding for hours to max out the levels of all the characters and just slaying waves and waves of orcs. To this day when I rewatch the LOTR movies it makes me really want to replay this game and I really home it can be preserved on a reliable platform like GOG.

Had just incredible fun playing this when I was in middle school around 13-14 years old - would love to see it come back! The workaround from myabandonware is brutal!

My childhood’s friend had this and we play a lot this game. Fighting with Gandalf was great, very powerful character. IMO in Aragorn’s path it was better to play with Legolas, his two swords was very powerful. Many positive memories. I hope one day this game would back and I can buy it.

This was a good old game you could play with someone like your younger cousin when the visit for the holidays and needed a game that wasn't competitive but also multiplayer. also helped to be one of the greatest franchises in history. whether you unlocked everything legitimately or put in cheat codes to mess around, this game gave endless fun.

so much memories about this game, when playing the level in coop with family, farming some characters to have is max level and unlock all the skills. the level with the mumakil, the one in the ghost cave, defense of minas Tirith was a great game that would be great to make it discover it to my childrens

We played this with my brothers for many hourse as kids. Epic times! Not only the characters are unique and interesting, but it drives the story very nicely too!

This game brings back a lot of memories one of my favorite games when it comes to Lord of the Rings it'll be nice if they can remastered it still one of the best Lord of the Ring games that have been out they remastering a bunch of garbage now and days they really need to take a look at the early 2000s they had a lot of hitters back then

FreelancerEight hundred years prior to the start of our story, bitter conflict divided all of mankind. A handful of colonists struck out on their own to begin anew - far away from the Earth and its turmoil. Several ships were launched with enough equipment and supplies to give the hundreds onboard a fighting chance - but since the area around far-off Sirius had never been surveyed, no one really knew what to expect. What they found was a new frontier of free-flowing natural resources, unexplored territories, great wonders and lurking dangers. Each ship, representing the clusters of people and their earthly place of origin, settled into different parts of the galaxy pre-selected by their ship-board computer to give them the best chance of survival. Life was hard in the beginning, but over the 800 years the different colonies prospered and expanded their territories, claiming more and more systems for their own. Survival and propagation eventually led to growth and profit as each of the colonies developed specialties and fostered commerce. As the colonies grew and time passed their connections with their roots on Earth dwindled and they lost their memories of the conflicts of the past. Soon their attention was dominated by new, more immediate conflicts. Feelings of lost ancestral connection spurred anachronism in the look of the great cities, and created a somewhat distorted image of each colony's cultural heritage. In the ever-expanding outer edge of the territories, frontier lawlessness prevailed. The Houses: Each shipboard colony that left Earth carried some memory of its origins in its name. The Liberty carried Americans, The Bretonia flew from The United Kingdom and surrounding territory, The Kusari from Asia, and the Rheinland launched with Germanic cargo. As each ship settled and colonies began to expand, they knew little about each other and their advancing development. Finally, little by little, the individual colonies found each other and began to set up trade routes to link their systems for commerce and solidarity. Today, with each colony firmly rooted in its respective corner of the galaxy, the colonies rely heavily on each other for trade and industry but also compete for resources and new territories in the Border Worlds. The colonies mandate member governments in "The New Alliance" within the Sirius sector. To control conflicts, each colony has forged alliances and treaties with others as they have grown. Competition remains fierce, however. Struggles rage for supremacy in business, commerce, resources, power and control. There can be tenuous peace between colonies' political agendas, but the grabs for holdings constantly unsettle the volatile frontier.
