Assault Spy

Solid casual indie game with fun fights

Sad to see people just scoring it 1 without actually playing it and outright making up lies about it. This is better than many tripple slop titles IMO, and the gameplay is FUN, FUN, FUN!!! Yea, it's a one off game, to kill some time, but the fair score is 4/5. The controls could have used more polish, and the difficulty level spikes are completely horrible, making me replay a non-essential boss like 10+ times to beat him. The last boss is the worst, auto regeneration, and with the input controls not being polished, you just don't have the timing because I noticed some moves don't react in time due to the lack of polish in making sure the controls actually work properly. This game will have you actually swear out loud sometime due to this, and the difficulty seems more like a cheap gimmick than actual skill level testing. However, 95% of this game is still very, very fun. This game forces you to use ALL your skills, specials, etc, in ways I usually don't care to in other games. I'm used to long RPGs, so games like this are nice cause I can finish these within a long weekend. The female character route by the way, is unlocked fairly early in the game, just play it people. I'm scoring it a 4/5. If they fix the controls, which they should, I'll change it to 5/5 because otherwise you're in for very, very, stupidly frustrating boss battles, and that's on NORMAL mode. This was made by like 1 person according to my research. Having said that, you will see it, the level designs, the more bland characters, the writing, its kind of obvious it's not a AAA game production values. And that's fine. This is why I support small devs and DRM free gaming. I have had a lot of fun playing this game and figuring out all the moves (and the moves are NUTs) which includes your briefcase and umbrella and assistance from your co-worker who's a total nutjob. This is a get it on sale kind of game, with a deep combo and combat system, but a more shallow depth of character, level design, and story.

Fantasy Tavern Sextet - Vol.3 Postlude Days

Awesome conclusion to the trilodgy

Bought the 1st game first, liked it, then I bought the 2nd and 3rd, and the story flows from one to another very well. Most importantly, with the patch being available directly on GOG, it is much easier to install the content you pay for, and nothing is censored. Big plus for all three games. This 3rd and final chapter, takes on Anzu and Plumeria. We meet Anzu in the first game only as part of the opening story, but in the 3rd she comes in swinging and she's a rude lady with a capital B, and the game almost makes it so it seems impossible to get with her, however, as it turns out, she's a little crazy and has attitude problems to which she later admits about taking out that personality on the MC (who's a more normal MC than most of these games because he's a cook). All games have 3 routes each, and this one actually is I would say as good as the 1st game (the 2nd wasn't as good, but I gave that game a 5 star anyway because it was still interesting). Unlike many such VNs, the story paces well across all three games, has a decent hard working MC who actually has excellent cooking skills, and it's fairly easy to figure how to get each route for a particular heroine but to get both in each game can be tricky and I did have to look it up, and I was usually a single choice away from getting it right. Pick all three up on sale, it's easy going, more about love & story than adult content, but the content it does have, while not animated, is good and again, unlike many VNs, completely uncensored with the patch right here on GOG (thank you GOG!). The game also is not dragged out too much per each installment, so like 3 to 3.5 hours if you actually read the story and listen to the voice acting. And the Anzu CGs were something else :)

Fantasy Tavern Sextet - Vol.2 Adventurer's Days

Almost as good as the first!

Fun characters. MC is a cook. I bought all three after the first game, but just go this one. What I like is everything is laid back and low key, very little drama, and it's very easy to get most of the scenes/endings on your own without a guide. A big plus for it being uncensored on GOG. This what I will quote as "Yes dad, I'm winning now!" LMAO Worth the price, not too long, not too short.

Sound of Drop - fall into poison -

I enjoyed it and got all the endings

This was a weird game, and the choices are weird, but towards the end it gets good. Don't usually play horror style games, but this got me interested in more. I found it confusing when replaying the game after the first run, that stuff started to change. The music, haunting. The scenario, very crazy. If you don't like fish, you will have nightmares. Don't do it unless you can handle fish outright murdering people. This isn't for everyone, but it was good for me!

Fantasy Tavern Sextet - Vol.1 New World Days

Cute & Fun Story & All Else

Short but sweet, the characters are likable and the MC is a cook, so not the typical nonsense MC. Also, no censorship with Unrated patch on GOG. So huge plus there too! Going to buy the rest of these!

Agony + Agony UNRATED

Crashes, not playable

Like completely cannot play it, crashed every time, doesn't matter where, it's like you're about 45 seconds in, crash. Tried many times to no success to get it going and there's no update or patch sadly that I could find.
