Got the Mood Right

It's a super short, wonderfully wicked game that serves up some decent storytelling. You can stretch the game out by taking your time, but be prepared to dance when the serving upgrades come. It has such RPG potential. I'd be willing to buy that type of game. Tip: Drop the graphic options down all the way except Antialiasing (so you can read words). It helps greatly to smooth out the play experience. Play around til you get the sweet spot that works for you.

A good first outing

There is violence, cheese, etc (and it is pretty tame - PG-13ish), while the story is short but done seriously and with care. As was stated in other reviews, play it through multiple times with choice variations to get the fuller story. This was a fun experience and I look forward to future releases.

Kreatively Bonkers

It's quite a task to put out a game that stays interesting all the way though. The team was able to balance theme, mood and pacing quite well and managed to keep my interest all the way through. The level of quality in presentation, user input and functionality was awesome. I do hope that the team works on using their lore better, as the faction dynamic between Yellow Leaf and Cayne Corp has more interesting layers to explore, should there be a sequel.

A stand out

After playing chess for many years, this was an unexpected pleasure to play. The cards can be punishing, but it was well worth it. Unless there is a follow up that can improve on the fun or there are better chess options here, this remains my favorite.

5 steps forward, 7 paces backward

Pros: More focused story Lively world and characters Nuanced choices Cons: Bugs (Improved since release, but way too many still) Over-reliance on consequences. (There are times when the choices made aren't 'happy-ending', yet believable. Other times, the player gets shafted when better options would've made the experience cooler) This game could've been bigger/deeper. Seems unfinished and incomplete without the DLC. While I am looking forward to WL4, it's been a mixed bag since WL2. I do not understand why this company has such a hard time delivering a game that is not a buggy mess at release, and nails the landing. So much potential, so little consistency stability in production.

Old Schoolish

Pros: First act had a creepy vibe reminiscent of Event Horizon. Some standouts on Voice Acting. Lots to do. Ursula. Cons: After the 1st act, things quickly get unfocused and devolve into the mediocre. Odd lag in certain areas. Cop-out ending. Mostly dead discord/community. Pretty decent for a first release. This is the only Unity game that has never crashed on me, so kudos for that. Willing to give another installment a try, provided the mistakes are corrected.

Improvements, but more of the same

Pros: Playing & beating Limbo before this helped me appreciate it more Move giving than Limbo Better graphics/scenarios/creativity than Limbo Cons: Story broke down @ lvl 46. Prior to this, it was like playing an episode of the Twilight Zone Lack of story was glaring for the rest of game Oddball ending (even more than Limbo) Don't regret the purchase. Will be more skeptical of games from this camp though.

Brilliantly Annoying

Avoided this game for over a decade. Playing it reminded me of the old school game experience, in a good way. It's a one-and-done deal though.Had there been more meat story-wise, this wouldn't be so. There were no issues with control, sound or graphics. Not sorry for my purchase. If this company can reinvent themselves instead of squeezing juice out of the same theme, watch out for greatness.
