The Blood of Dawnwalker

Left me feeling drained at the end

No matter what ending you get, the entire epilogue can be summed up as "life is ♥♥♥♥, everyone is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ miserable". I even got the supposed "good" ending, and I was thinking "wtf was the point to all this if that is the outcome?" The only character besides the father that I genuinely liked was Anca, until I finished her questline and was like "well ♥♥♥♥ you too". Lacra was believable at least, the Crake guy was immediately annoying and gave me the creeps. I felt more for side characters like Vasil than anyone in the main narrative. I wish I could get back the time I spent on this game. It doesn't help that the bulk of the gameplay feels like it's following the typical Ubisoft farcry formula. Seriously, look at FC5 and it's almost 1 to 1 except for the whole vampire thing. The only thing missing is all the collectibles and the bunkers. If it wasn't for the notoriety of the dev team and people weren't so starved for a good vampire game, this would barely be a blip on the radar. I'm too tired to be writing things like this. I'm going to bed XD

POSTAL 4: No Regerts

Not sure where I stand on this overall

Everything there is functional, ticks a lot of the right boxes in terms of how we can interact with the environment, the actual gameplay itself is solid, the weapons feel fine, but I just don't know. For some reason I can't quite put my finger on I'm having a really hard time feeling the "magic" I did(and still do) with Postal 2. That game is still one of my favorite PC games of all time. The actual missions...as much as it kills me to say this...are actually kind of boring. Not just because of the lack of factions that remain hostile towards you throughout the remainder of the game. The tasks themselves seem to lack the same personality that the missions in postal 2 had. Not that what's there is necessarily bad, it just feels like something is missing. This is how I felt when the EA was first released. We are now up to the game's 3rd day, and that feeling hasn't really changed. The closest I've seen to the original feel is the mission where you have to spraypaint the billboards and have to fight off a bunch of SJW's. That feels in the right direction, but it's one mission already halfway through the game if it's M-F like the original was before AW and even that is a one-off. You don't see them again after that mission is over. Yeah it's better than Postal 3, but that's not a very high bar for comparison. I also feel like the animal mission on the first day needs an option to just blow up the guy's van and get assaulted by hillbillies as opposed to killing a bunch of pets. So far that's the only mission I flat-out don't really like at all. tl;dr -- A solid framework for a great game, but it has a long way to go before it's anywhere near being able to live up to postal 2.

Apsulov: End of Gods

I hope this developer makes more

As far as horror titles go, this game felt fairly unique. As is the case with most unique games, it will be middling for some, and phenomenal for others. Creepy Ambiance Solid Visuals Solid Audio Really nifty mix of sci-fi and norse mythology Overall game felt pretty polished(ran flawlessly and smooth...no bugs or crashes) In all honesty, the only thing I can think of that people might see as a downside is the combat. It can feel a bit cumbersome. The way it's done does fit the overall theme, however. I highly recommend giving this a try. The industry needs more developers that aren't afraid to mix it up.
