Could have been great but...
I played this game on switch, and already posted my review on dreamlist.
The game is great in many forms, like music, gameplay, exploration. But what is destroying everything is the writing...
When you play a RPG, you expect to have some feelings, some empathy with the characters. Shortly after the start, when you get an awful character, believing he's the hero of the story, speaking on behalf of the 2 protagonists but being dumb, you just want to avoid the discussions cause it will always bring some naïve stupid discussion, nothing going really deep or maky you think. I finished the game and when I got a post-end scenario wanting me to bringing back that character. I just stopped here, wanting to let this as it is, not wanting to see the true ending is it's for seeing that character again. At some point, when the writing ruins everything, you're just sad that this great rpg turned like that because of a writing making you feel everybody is living in a pink poneys world. Empathy is dead with the story and the characters composing the adventure. If you can go above all this, great for you, you will enjoy a great game. If like me you are sensitive with the writting... well, good luck with that.
