Still Joking Demo

Still Joking demo

This is a very long demo; it took me 3 1/2 hours or more both times I played through it. I enjoy it very much. Sometimes the choices aren't obvious (to me), which can be frustrating, but it's also challenging and more like real life. One thing I like about the decision points is that in some games after you make a choice you find yourself reading the result and thinking, 'But that wasn't what I intended at all', but in this game I've never had that happen. Totally unrelated, most of the women depicted are tall, slender and small-breasted, which is what I prefer. I'm so tired of games where all the women are DDs.

Imperial Grace Demo

Imperial Grace Demo

I like this game and have signed up to be notified when the full version is released. Early on it feels like there's too much text, but around the time of the coronation the balance of text to decisionmaking more closely approaches what I'm looking for. A negative is that there are a lot of misspellings, which I hope will be corrected in the pay version.

The Mildew Children: Chapter 1

The Mildew Children

I can't play this game. There are no instructions. I can't get characters to move or interact. The graphics (what I can see from the opening screen) seem nice.

Heroine's Quest: The Herald of Ragnarok

Heroine's Quest

I should not have chosen this game. I don't understand the attraction of 8-bit graphics. I can't give this a fair review, but it's definitely not for me.

Fabled Lands Demo

For free, this demo can hardly be beaten

If you have any experience with this type of game I would recommend you not start on the easiest level.

BATTLETECH

BattleTech

For BattleTech fans who like the boardgame, or those who prefer turn-based games to first person shooters, this game can't currently be beaten. In addition, the unit management system is good, though can be improved with Forum-available fan mods. I've even written some short stories based on my unit. I do recommend getting the three extra scenario downloads. They unlock additional mechs and provide interesting 'featured' missions. Though the generic computer-generated missions are often good tactical puzzles, they can become repetitive… until you suddenly see something you've never seen before. I have over 2260 hours in on this game, and I saw two new things tonight. The worst aspect of this game is player vs. player. In the base game it's essentially nonfunctional. Some Forum grognards claim to have come up with a way to make it work, but their efforts generated as many complaints as kudos, so be warned.
