The Blood of Dawnwalker

Great Game

Really enjoying The Blood of Dawnwalker so far. The story and atmosphere are great, and the immersion is one of its strongest points. You really feel like you are Coen and part of this world. It definitely has some Witcher vibes, but honestly, I find playing a vampire even cooler than playing a witcher. The combat is good too, although it takes a little time to get used to. My main criticisms are the time limit and the lack of a character creator. Being able to create my own protagonist would make the game almost perfect for me. Overall, a very strong action RPG and definitely recommended.

Gothic 1 Remake

Great Remake

The Gothic Remake captures the atmosphere of the original incredibly well. You can really feel that dark, rough, and believable world again, but with a modern presentation. The developers clearly understood what made Gothic special: the mood, the danger, the sense of being thrown into a harsh world where every step matters. A huge compliment to the team, because remaking a classic like Gothic is definitely not easy. Expectations were high, and it must have been a lot of pressure to respect the original while still modernizing it. From what I have seen, they really put heart and effort into it. Also, big respect to THQ Nordic for being consumer-friendly. The fact that the Steam version is DRM-free as well is a massive plus and something more publishers should do. It shows trust in the players and respect for ownership. For fans of Gothic, this feels like a remake made with care. Great atmosphere, strong nostalgia, and a very positive direction. Huge praise to the developers.

DOOM Eternal

One of the best shooters ever made

DOOM Eternal is still one of the best FPS games ever made. The combat is fast, brutal, demanding, and incredibly satisfying once it clicks. Movement, weapon swapping, resource management, and the soundtrack all come together perfectly. Very few shooters feel this intense and this polished at the same time. I am also just glad to see a game like this on GOG. It is a fantastic addition to the platform, and it is good to see GOG already acknowledging the cosmetic DLC issue and working on a fix. Excellent game, great release, easy recommendation.

FINAL FANTASY VIII - REMASTERED

From Loner to Love Story

FFVIII has always been my favorite Final Fantasy, mainly because it commits to its tone and its love story. You start out as a guarded loner who avoids vulnerability, and over time you really feel yourself open up especially through your romance with Rinoa, which is a central part of the game’s arc. The Remastered version is also a great way to replay it today: you get modern QoL options like 3x speed, Battle Assist, and the ability to turn random encounters off, which makes replays much smoother without changing what FFVIII is. And on GOG, the biggest win is simple: it’s DRM-free

Vampire: The Masquerade® - Bloodlines™ 2

This isnt Bloodlines

Bloodlines 2 feels like a completely different game than what was originally promised. There’s no real RPG depth here – no proper character creation, no inventory, no real freedom in how you build your vampire. It’s basically a linear action experience with a skill tree and some flashy powers. In many moments it feels more like “Vampire: Dishonored” than a true successor to the original Bloodlines. Yes, the combat can be enjoyable, but the soul of the franchise – choice, identity, role-playing, weirdness, clan impact – just isn’t here. With everything that happened behind the scenes (HSL being replaced, Mitsoda gone, direction shifted), it’s hard not to feel like this is a different project wearing the Bloodlines name. As an action vampire game: acceptable. As the sequel fans were waiting for: it feels like something important was lost along the way.

Sisterly Lust

Too exaggerated and one-dimensional

Unfortunately, this visual novel feels overly exaggerated in many aspects. Almost every female character is portrayed as being into other girls, which feels unrealistic and overly one-sided. Choices barely matter – ignoring content means missing out on events, but engaging with everything just leads to a mostly linear story. None of the characters feel serious or grounded; the tone is too over-the-top to be taken seriously. If you’re looking for meaningful choices and believable character development, this probably isn’t for you.

DOOM (2016)

Still like the OG Doom Games

Man this took some time to get released here. Great game and still has the identity of the original doom games. Eternal is more a platformer compared to this but also a good game. I have preserved the steam version already but gladly grap it again for the offline installers. Still sad that it took so long. Highlight recomandable

Fallout: London

Better than Failout 4

The main gripe i had with fallout 4 was that you either play nate or nora and it didn’t matter what character you actually create. Fallout is supposed to be your story in that environment and not someone else’s. The voiced protagonist made it worse because it also limited what you can say. Fallout 4 is a decent shooter but it’s not fallout game. Fallout London on the other side is a fallout game through and through. It has a real engaging story, a huge world to explore and the voice acting is also pretty good. Modders make a free which is actually better than the main game. That’s why im a big believer that indies are the future if you want quality stuff. The game currently has technical issues so crashes etc are pretty common. There are fixes around and they are easy to find on google.

Leap of Faith + Official Walkthrough

Decent Game

The game could be way better if the devloper would have focused on the serious part. But litereally most girls in this game are having lesbian tendencies....its like these devs are 24 hours on pornhub and dont know anything about women. You know they are like us in that regard but howerever if you dont take the story to serious and if you focus on the depression part its alright

Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty

Decent Dlc

I hoped that we can actually create our own character this time with the dlc, with a seperate storyline but we are still stuck with either vincent or valerie.... The cyberpunk universe is all about your own character to get fully immersed i hope cd project does it with the sequel. It should be your character not someone elses but anyway.... The dlc is actually pretty decent. Cyberpunk 2077 is more of a linear action game than anything else so a bit of spy thriller stuff works for that game. The actors do a pretty great job but its still the same game so dont get to excited. The ending is pretty dissapointing tbh without spoiling to much because i hoped to bring it in a good direction with the dlc. Overall its more story cyberpunk 2077 nothing more.
