I recall making a similar post/observation somewhat recently that indeed, thats just marketing-speak that has virtually no literally valye nowadays and more "is the best package with "everything" that we have at date of release" - aimed at those that dont follow or car about gaming news and great starting point for casuals.

Dont forget the pun editions that have the same effect but mostly aimed at the not so casuals - given one needs to know at least the lore to find it funny) that now incluing the OG + Remastered/Remake/Re...

Is marketing. games descriptions are even more misleading if one considers the edition title misleading.
More than misleading is annoying to have to compare editions - so in way me having a single Witcher 3 packages kind works out great.

Please read what you are replying to. I said it was misleading because it shows the expansion under "Description". It is logical to assume everything under "Description" especially directly following that word, is part of what you are buying. And the new expansion is right after "Description"

It never stated it included it. Other content not pertinent to a product can be advertised in a description. Which is what is being done here.
