Mine is probably Triss and Geralt in Witcher 2. It was a great scene and beautifully written. The characters are well animated.

Not so much of a scene, but there is a wonderful love side story in Dragon Quest 11, between a fisherman and a mermaid.

My favourite spans the Mass Effect Trilogy with Garrus and Paragon Shepard.

Just great how you learn about each other in the first game, then in the second game you get closer and then Garrus opens up revealing his fear to you, then in the third game he is trying to be a strong shoulder while at the same time trying to figure out awkwardly how to make things work with the species gap.

It's just great how despite all the barriers due to the war and the barriers from a cross species relationship he always tries his best to be honest and at the same time be endearing.

Games are like friendships: they become sour and complicated when you pour love and sex on top of them. I keep using Garrett from "Thief The Dark Project" as an example: he has no love affairs etc. in the game and doesn't really advertise his sexuality, and that's the way I like it. I honestly can't think of one. I really don't care about seeing video game characters have sex. I don't find it offensive or anything, I just don't care. Most times a fade to black will convey the same and be much less boring. It's rare that I care about romance in a game at all. I'm not saying it neve happens, but it's quite rare.
