dudalb: Yes, that interview was a hit piece, but Molyneux deserves the heat he is getting. He has failed to deliver once too ofen.
Whether he knew he was lying or believed his own hype the end result is the same: He has been worthy of being trusted for a long time. With his history no way would I kickstart a project of his.
Molyneux has not delievered a really first rate game since his Bullfrog days. As some have suggestged, that might well be because at Bullfrog he has people who could keep him under control and save him from his own bad habits.
I lost confidence in him after "the Movies". I had always wanted a Movie studio sim game, but, sadly, the Movies was totally lacking. A lot of visual dazzle, but weak on the management side. And too much time was spent on the "MovieMaker " program. What was supposed to be a sort of minigame ended up taking over the game. A huge disappointment. Maybe Sid Meiere will do "Hollywood Tycoon" some day...........
Not unlike George Lucas, Molyneux needs people to keep his feet on the ground.
