yes but i am wondering what you use and why you install games form gog that way.
I install using the back up installers, but there are a few game i use gog galaxy rarely.

Does it still need patching? Then Galaxy.
If not, offline installer.

This way I spare a lot of band.

I'm using offline installers for all my games but one. The only case is Gwent as it requires GOG Galaxy to run.

I tried Galaxy during that very first open beta testing when they handed out Alien vs Predator and uninstalled it after a fortnight and am still on that road. Off-line here.

Always Galaxy as I want the overlay, cloud saving and achievements. I'm fine with playing games without a client, but why would I say no to that extra bit of functionality? Really the only issue I have with Galaxy is it takes a little too long to start up.

Offline installers all the way. Never had Galaxy installed even once. Don't care about achievements or cloud saves.

The few games i have on Galaxy i still might play offline.

Same for me. And here's hoping more games will support offline multiplayer options such as hotseat, splitscreen, LAN.

I use Galaxy as a downloader and launcher. And by downloader i mean the offline setups. I have never used its install function. Galaxy automatically picks them up after installation.

I se galaxy as handy yo keep track o games and not have 100 shortcuts on the desktop plus handy for downloading installers.



That would be a big "NO", with a side order of "fuck clients".

For me it's a convenient way to install, patch, and launch my games. I haven't really bothered much with the "backup" setup files in some time, but it's good to know I still can make use of them should I need or desire them.
