First of all, i haven´t been around this place for a little while now, so i don´t know if anything has changed regarding fetching the games from one´s library.

I tried downloading the installers from my account and the speed is abysmal, as in kbs slow. Right now i´m getting 4-6 kbs!

i have tried Firefox and Chromium, resetting my router and even downloading from my phone.

Downloading through the Galaxy client is unstable as heck, it goes from 2 Mbs to 0, as in nothing, it stops for minutes at a time only for it to resume suddenly and then stop again.

And i would rather download the installers directly through the website, the galaxy client sucks big time and i don´t like it.

What´s going on?

No problems here either, just tried downloading The Witcher 3 GOTY installer through Chrome, it came at normal speedy speed (trying over a 10Mbps connection). No idea whether 100Mbps or 1Gbps users get full speeds though, but I am happy with my speeds.

All I can really suggest is that you move from Uruguay to Finland, as we have the internets. Even our fast 4G mobile internet connections are pretty cheap with no monthly data transfer caps, and GOG games download fast!

My connection isn't great either. So what I normally do is starting downloads (I use Galaxy merely as a download manager to download the backup installers, not for installing by Galaxy itself) before I go to bed. At night it is much faster, it even maxes out my line whereas in the evening I only get 0.2 MB/s.

Just tested and my download speeds are fine. Try power cycling your modem and router, and turn your pc completely off while you do so. Some people don't know this, but if you don't power cycle at least once a month, you'll get uber crappy speeds.

Everything is fine here, too. Full speed (around 18 MB/s) on a 150mbps line.

Now my download speed is just fine, seems like this thing resolved itself!

Anyway, a quick google search revealed that a bunch of users have been having the same problems for a while now.

And to that guy that suggested moving to Finland, thanks but no thanks. I´m American, with and American wife and two American daughters, we moved away from the "first world" in 2011 and never looked back. Quality of life is better here. Lived in Europe for almost ten years too, i don´t miss it.

And my Internet is fine, i´m on a 50 MBs fiberoptic link, i was wondering why Gog was so slow.
