‘Devotion’ is a first-person atmospheric horror game set in the 1980s Taiwan. The story centers around a seemingly ordinary family of three that lived in an old apartment complex. Explore the nostalgic house in the 80s where religion plays a significant role in their daily life. When one day the same house that once filled with joy and love had turned into a hell-like nightmare, and by venturing in the haunted and confined space, each puzzle leads you closer to the mysteries nested deep inside.

My all time favorite horror game. Shame on all the storefronts that removed or blocked this game from sale because of content that China's government did not approve of.

I bought this game directly from Red Candle Games DRM free. I want this game forever preserved because politics shouldn't prevent art from existing. Preserve this game please. It is a good game even it is fairly short.

I (GOG user since the private beta 17 years ago) stopped buying games on GOG when they abandoned this game, and haven't started again. I'll happily resume purchasing games here if and when they list this game.

On this day 5 years ago GOG posted the following on Twitter: "Earlier today, it was announced that the game Devotion is coming to GOG. After receiving many messages from gamers, we have decided not to list the game in our store." This was an act of lying to their customers and kowtowing to the CCP regime. It remains unclear if the stance of the company has since changed as the latest Red Candle Games’ release Nine Sols, widely available on other storefronts and platforms, is also curiously absent from GOG. 5 years of boycotting GOG for this reason and counting.

It's a real shame this game was removed from most storefronts, its such an interesting piece of psychological horror that deserves to be experianced by everyone interested in the genre. Backlash be damned, this deserves a spot on GOG again.

Devotion is one of the best horror games set in the Far Eastern culture, and it's so sensitively executed that it continually raises the scare factor. Very exciting.

Screw you gog, for kneeling to the pressure from Chinese players and deciding to selfcensor, blaming the customers. I think bringing it back is one way to apologize.

I say this game desesrves anotehr chance. The soundtrek alone is such great art piece. Plus the reasons teh game was banned are just petty and paranoid, and pretty stupid. It is maybe not greatest horror story of all time, but it didnt have to be ereazed like this.

FreelancerEight hundred years prior to the start of our story, bitter conflict divided all of mankind. A handful of colonists struck out on their own to begin anew - far away from the Earth and its turmoil. Several ships were launched with enough equipment and supplies to give the hundreds onboard a fighting chance - but since the area around far-off Sirius had never been surveyed, no one really knew what to expect. What they found was a new frontier of free-flowing natural resources, unexplored territories, great wonders and lurking dangers. Each ship, representing the clusters of people and their earthly place of origin, settled into different parts of the galaxy pre-selected by their ship-board computer to give them the best chance of survival. Life was hard in the beginning, but over the 800 years the different colonies prospered and expanded their territories, claiming more and more systems for their own. Survival and propagation eventually led to growth and profit as each of the colonies developed specialties and fostered commerce. As the colonies grew and time passed their connections with their roots on Earth dwindled and they lost their memories of the conflicts of the past. Soon their attention was dominated by new, more immediate conflicts. Feelings of lost ancestral connection spurred anachronism in the look of the great cities, and created a somewhat distorted image of each colony's cultural heritage. In the ever-expanding outer edge of the territories, frontier lawlessness prevailed. The Houses: Each shipboard colony that left Earth carried some memory of its origins in its name. The Liberty carried Americans, The Bretonia flew from The United Kingdom and surrounding territory, The Kusari from Asia, and the Rheinland launched with Germanic cargo. As each ship settled and colonies began to expand, they knew little about each other and their advancing development. Finally, little by little, the individual colonies found each other and began to set up trade routes to link their systems for commerce and solidarity. Today, with each colony firmly rooted in its respective corner of the galaxy, the colonies rely heavily on each other for trade and industry but also compete for resources and new territories in the Border Worlds. The colonies mandate member governments in "The New Alliance" within the Sirius sector. To control conflicts, each colony has forged alliances and treaties with others as they have grown. Competition remains fierce, however. Struggles rage for supremacy in business, commerce, resources, power and control. There can be tenuous peace between colonies' political agendas, but the grabs for holdings constantly unsettle the volatile frontier.

It has a simple story line where the hero needs to save Albion from the evil Lord Lucian by collecting together the other three heroes to defeat him. Interactive cut-scenes are a large part of the game however the main character never speaks and all dialogue is uncontrolled. The game features a large variety of game play and freedom, allowing a player to shape the world around and the characters appearance and moral standing based on decisions throughout the game. The player can also get married both same and opposite sex and bring up children to childhood but no farther, expressions are a lot more interactive with NPC's than before
