I have Starship Troopers on DVD and had the VHS tape. A DRM-free MP4 of it would be pretty cool.
It's a shame that this masterpiece of satire isn't available at all in some countries (like Germany) or is available for steep prices like 50 € for one used DVD (or even VHS), so PLEASE, give those people the chance to own this movie again for a fair price.
A very impressive movie. Shouldn´t too hard to get as it´s a very cult movie and BluRay-market isn´t that big for such movies!
Or it's a failure on the film's part. Or some people might just not be familiar with what it's out to satirise. Or it's en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Poe%27s_law
Dear lord... that there's still people out there who don't see that this film is COMPLETELY satirical shows how little the human race has evolved.
People, this one's by Verhoeven with a script by Ed Neumeier, if you think it's anything but wonderful satire you are wrong.
Some say it's meant to be ironic. Then again, some people will say anything...
Mixed feelings on this. A stupid popcorn flick (enjoyable on that level) based on a lack of understanding of the much smarter novel.
