Resident Evil 4 (2011)

by Capcom Production Studio 4, Capcom
Platforms:
Xbox 360, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3
Genres:Adventure, Shooter
Themes:Action, Horror, Survival
Game modes:Single player
Story:
Resident Evil 4 is directly based off the Wii port, having all the new features that the Wii added. Some of the key features of this version are stunning HD graphics running at a smooth 60 frames per second for the first time. It also features a complete visual overhaul to bring this revered title to the highest graphical quality ever. It has been fully optimized for the wide screen, texts have been sharpened and textures have been upgraded on characters, backgrounds and in-game objects. However, it should be noted that the cutscenes of the Separate Ways scenario are not in HD and have had their resolution lowered and placed in sepia format. Aside from the updated HUD, the Movie Browser is fixed to now display real time cut-scenes instead of the PS2 pre-rendered cut-scene, like it was the Wii version. The Mercenaries costumes cheat remain and fully work.

This is the definitive classic experience. We need this version on GOG, DRM-free, to ensure it remains playable for future generations. For the Brazilian community, adding official PT-BR support would be the perfect way to celebrate this masterpiece. Please bring the ultimate horror classic to GOGguilhermematos_

Resident Evil 4 on GOG is a must! There is tons of issue in the PCGamingWiki mention where the game suffers most. From QTE unable to be Press when you have high refresh rate monitor without re4Tweak, the damn save file is attached to Steam account, because Capcom said "nu-uh, Illegal son. No way, you just copying people save for the easy Chicago Typewriter" and many many more. It needs to be here!
I have this game on steam and on wii, but I would defo get it again on GOG if it was available. Leon is my comfort character and res evil 4 was my game of choice during hard times. Its definitely a game worth preserving in any way possible.
I played this game many many times when I was little, probably not the best game for a kid but I love it, played so much that I know the game by memory, I can make a run in my head with the whole map and enemies. This games means a lot for me and I would love to have in GOG.

The original Resident Evil 4 is simply the peak of video games. It has also been released on PC (the Steam version, that is) so it should be much easier to put in GOG's library. I could write a whole multi-paragraph essay about why this game is the best, but I simply want this game that has stood the test of time to be able to enjoyed by as many people for as many generations as possible. The remake is good but it is no substitute for the original. The original RE4 must be preserved. It must exist on PC free from DRM. Steam is good but it is not sufficient especially it's prone to massive changes.
Acho que não preciso dizer muita coisa, esse Resident Evil marcou uma geração toda cheia de sucesso, além de ter se tornado um dos melhores jogos da Capcom e do ps2, sem duvida esse jogo merece estar no GOG

This is an absolute Genre-Defining and Series-Redefining classic. Back in those days after releases of RECVX, RE0, RE1R and Outbreaks, was really knowing that the whole Resident Evil series is stagnating. And The Man, The Myth, The Living Legend Shinji Mikami knew it as well, so he took what he created with OG RE1 and completely changed the game. But not only that, he and his team created one of the Best Games of All-Time still to this day. Resident Evil 4 defined 3rd person Action games with Over the Shoulder camera, Incredibly intense encounters, flawless level design, AI, smooth pacing, weapon variety, enemy variety and design, gunplay, unreal mixture of horror, cheesiness and style, endless replayability and ofcourse - the most Badass and Hot protagonist of All-Time - Leon S. Kennedy. Preserving this game is an absolute duty, because not only it is still THE Best Resident Evil game ever made, but also one of those few games that can stand proudly side by side with Titans like Super Mario Bros., Tetris, Ocarina of Time, Street Fighter II and other GOATS of the industry.
Re4 is just one of those classics that i want to be able to replay for rest of my life. Please add it with the re4 hd-project, because that also deserves to be preserved forever
I've played the Remake of Resident Evil 4, and of course for a remake, it was charming and respectful to the original, Capcom does well with spacing their newer releases with their remakes, and while it's mostly Resident Evil, we've have had remakes that weren't it, but besides the point. while I haven't Finished RE4 Remake, I can still say the charm of the original still echoes through it, and it would mean alot to be able to play the original, and see the original charm and survival horror that was brought back in the early 2000s..
Those games also need your vote!

FreelancerEight hundred years prior to the start of our story, bitter conflict divided all of mankind. A handful of colonists struck out on their own to begin anew - far away from the Earth and its turmoil. Several ships were launched with enough equipment and supplies to give the hundreds onboard a fighting chance - but since the area around far-off Sirius had never been surveyed, no one really knew what to expect. What they found was a new frontier of free-flowing natural resources, unexplored territories, great wonders and lurking dangers. Each ship, representing the clusters of people and their earthly place of origin, settled into different parts of the galaxy pre-selected by their ship-board computer to give them the best chance of survival. Life was hard in the beginning, but over the 800 years the different colonies prospered and expanded their territories, claiming more and more systems for their own. Survival and propagation eventually led to growth and profit as each of the colonies developed specialties and fostered commerce. As the colonies grew and time passed their connections with their roots on Earth dwindled and they lost their memories of the conflicts of the past. Soon their attention was dominated by new, more immediate conflicts. Feelings of lost ancestral connection spurred anachronism in the look of the great cities, and created a somewhat distorted image of each colony's cultural heritage. In the ever-expanding outer edge of the territories, frontier lawlessness prevailed. The Houses: Each shipboard colony that left Earth carried some memory of its origins in its name. The Liberty carried Americans, The Bretonia flew from The United Kingdom and surrounding territory, The Kusari from Asia, and the Rheinland launched with Germanic cargo. As each ship settled and colonies began to expand, they knew little about each other and their advancing development. Finally, little by little, the individual colonies found each other and began to set up trade routes to link their systems for commerce and solidarity. Today, with each colony firmly rooted in its respective corner of the galaxy, the colonies rely heavily on each other for trade and industry but also compete for resources and new territories in the Border Worlds. The colonies mandate member governments in "The New Alliance" within the Sirius sector. To control conflicts, each colony has forged alliances and treaties with others as they have grown. Competition remains fierce, however. Struggles rage for supremacy in business, commerce, resources, power and control. There can be tenuous peace between colonies' political agendas, but the grabs for holdings constantly unsettle the volatile frontier.

Black & White 2
Black & White 2In the game, the player takes the role of a god called from the void (nothingness) to help those who invoked them. However, the player is not an omnipotent style god, but rather a god who rises and falls with his believers and the player must help develop their nature according to their good or evil desires. The player also has a creature, their physical representation in the world, which takes the form of an anthropomorphic ape, lion, wolf, turtle, cow, or tiger.
