My first real favorite game was the original C&C. Even got to meet Joe Kucan at E3 in 1996. It'll forever be my first and favorite FPS, even if it is a defining point of a long ago era.

RA was the 1st non-fantasy strategy game that I was able to get comfortable with, which made some of the Si-Fi games in the series feel weird. That and the actors in the cut-scenes... wonderful.

RA2 is THE game my brother and friends played together in our formative years. It's how we spent snow days, kept in touch through college, and we still reference it to this day. It's also shockingly hard to get and play now, so a stable preserved version would be huge. RA3 I can't play anymore because my CD key doesn't work and I have no recovery options (I don't want to buy again with THAT kind of support). Renegade is a fascinating and unique blend of game styles, and has a great story I feel warm and fuzzy about but barely remember. I would love to get the chance to experience it again!

This game was one of the first I played. Of RTS, of Scifi and many great technologies that had references to study. I went from C&C through generals as they released and loved every mission, every lan party. This game franchise would go onto be part of the best rivalries of all time, starcraft. What some other games came to be versus what happened to it when it was on par with so many others hurts in a way you could never describe.

Being one of the the few first games Red Alert 2. I would love to see the Ultimate Collection on GOG as i want this game to always be avalable DRM-Free. I already own the game in 2 other places but i want one place that i know i will keep this game forever and EA could not take my copy away. As for me this series of games is the reason i am intrested in game development and why i love RTS games in general.

Too many hours "wasted" finishing all the games in the pack. Too few hours enjoying all of them. And still listening to the fantastic soundtracks and playing from time to time...

After Dune 2 this was the first game that got me so immersed into strategy games. I remember spending hours stuck on my screen. Good old times before the 1 or 2 K gpus... Hope it becomes available soon.

I play in many games from that franchise. First was Red Alert 2 (altough first i saw was intro from Red Alert 1 on Poznań International Games Fair somevere around mid 90). Then when i bought my first PC was simple Renegade, Tiberian series new games from both series... and very good C&C Generals( i never understood why they dont make Genarals 2). Little pain in the ass was need to upgrade hardware witch is never cheap but thats the things going in the world. Anyway many, many good memories and when i play again its like 30 years less...

Red Alert 1&2 kept me off the streets. I fell in love with the music, the art and the characters. My parents didn't have to worry about me. The creators show their love and pride with every pixel. Please bring it back. High speed, low drag.

Black & White 2
Black & White 2In the game, the player takes the role of a god called from the void (nothingness) to help those who invoked them. However, the player is not an omnipotent style god, but rather a god who rises and falls with his believers and the player must help develop their nature according to their good or evil desires. The player also has a creature, their physical representation in the world, which takes the form of an anthropomorphic ape, lion, wolf, turtle, cow, or tiger. Its physical manifestation can grow to an immense size, and adopt a good or evil persona separate of the player's. They develop their character as the player rewards or punishes their actions. In addition to the god simulation and city-building elements introduced in the original Black & White, Black & White 2 also features elements of real-time strategy gameplay, with the addition of controllable warfare and fighting units.

As the player progresses, his troops are equipped with weapons from "crysknives" to atomics, tap into Paul's latent psychic powers, and get acquainted with such characters from the book as Chani and Liet-Kynes.
